This method is free to use, by using the video editor which is built right into your Windows 11 operating system.
You will be taking advantage of the preinstalled application on Windows 11 called Video Editor which will help you trim and edit any video you have.
How To Trim Videos On Windows 11 Using The Photos Application
Windows 11 comes with a handy built-in video editor allowing you to make quick trims, splits, merges, edits, and more.
It doesn’t stop here the video editor application also allows you to change the speed of the video, merge video clips together, add captions, add music, 3D effects, motion, and more.
As you can see the Video editor application comes rather stacked with many features you can enjoy and make good video edits with.
1. Click on the windows icon and type “Video Editor”.
2. Click on the Video Editor tab under Best Match.
3. Video Editor will now open so choose New Video Project and choose any name you would like as the project name.
4. You can now drag and drop your video files into the area below the blue add button.
5. Now your video or videos will be showing in the project library section so drag the video into the project timeline below to start trimming and editing the video.

How To Trim A Video Windows 11
Trimming a video is when you move both sides of the video closer which will shorten the time of the video. This is normally accompanied by cutting the video too then trimming it down.
Select the Trim icon next to Split
Now you will see 2 slider start and end tabs so move them closer together to get the desired trim you need then click Done when you have finished.
Now you will want to pick Finish Video in the top right-hand corner of the screen and choose the video resolution you want to export in.
Now click on the Export button and the video will now start its export.
Please note: Depending on the length or resolution of your video clip it may take some time to complete.
How To Merge 2 Video Files Together In Windows 11
You will want to add all the video files you want to merge by dragging and dropping them into the project library of the Windows 11 video editor app.
Now drag the video clips down into the video timeline and once you have them all in the correct order you can click on finish video which will merge the files making one video file.
Make sure to choose the video resolution you would like then click on the Export button to start the export of the video file.
How To Split A Video Into Different Parts On Windows 11
You will need to drag any videos you want to split into your project library and then drag them down onto the project timeline.
Now click on the split icon and this will bring a blue slider up.
Move the blue slider from left to right and choose the exact point where you would like to split the video in two.
Once you have split the video you can click on Split again and continue to split the video parts up into even smaller parts if needed.
